Every year we try to hold a workshop with a New Year card theme. This year was a challenge because many areas of Beijing were facing restrictions, but we still managed a couple of workshops with a fun animated tiger card. This design was created for a series of workshops our studio was commissioned to produce for CCTV. Using the materials provided, participants could make a working zoetrope and create their own simple animation to play. The activity was part of an introduction to animation, from which a group of kids would work with an international team of professional animators to create short movies.

A big production, supported by Nickelodeon, for Beijing Design Week where visitors could craft their own Spongebob or Patrick figures and put them on display. This was a really popular, fun event. Spongebob “superfans” travelled from as far as Shanghai to take part.
